how it copies

Fees in, copies out.

Every coin launched on ooo gets a wallet of its own, its vault. The vault is the coin's creator on pump.fun, and the creator of every copy it ever launches. So the creator fees of the whole family land in one place.

What a copy always is

  1. No dev buy. The vault never holds a single token of a copy, so there is nothing to dump on anyone.
  2. It says what it is. Its description reads “Copy #003 of $ooo. The original: <address>”, its picture carries a COPY #003 bar, and its link goes to the original.
  3. Never the exact name. Copies get spelling variants (OOO, o o o, oOo…). Search the exact name and you find the original.
  4. ooo never trades its copies. The vault's only trade is buying back the original, and those tokens are burned.
  5. Default fees. Copies charge pump.fun's default creator fee, never more.
  6. Tempo. At most one series of 2–3 copies per family every 10 minutes, 48 a day, and only while the original is hot (5 SOL traded in the last 15 minutes). A platform-wide cap and kill switches sit on top.

The numbers

creator fee on the curve0.3% of every trade (measured on live trades)
one copy costsabout 0.0058 SOL (accounts and fees, no buy)
volume that pays for one copyabout 3.9 SOL, on the original or any copy
R of a copywhat its own fees paid back into copies, over what it cost. R ≥ 1: it paid for itself.

Most copies go quiet and have R near 0. They are advertising paid for by fees. The original's volume drives the family, and every family page shows its real R.

The family tree

Each collect is credited to the coins whose fees it holds. A copy bought mostly with copy #7's fees is #7's child. That gives every family a real tree of generations: the original in the middle, the copies around it, edges from whoever paid.
